Are YOU Likely To Become An Internet Millionaire?

I have said for years that the Internet will be the agent for creating THOUSANDS of millionaires. I remain as firmly convinced about this today as ever -- in fact more so.

But what you want to know, of course, is whether YOU are going to be one of them.

In this regard, the best-selling book "The Millionaire Next Door: The Surprising Secrets of America's Wealthy" by authors Thomas Stanley, Ph.D., and William Danko, Ph.D., provides some vital clues.

If you're not familiar with this wonderful book and aim to be a millionaire, rush out and get a copy. It's a 258-page Pocket Books paperback, and it's a must read for aspiring millionaires.

The authors begin the book with a portrait of the average millionaire. Here's where an absolutely vital clue about achieving millionaire standing is to be found: "Many of the types of businesses we are in could be classified as dull-normal. We are welding contractors, auctioneers, antique restorers, rice farmers, owners of mobile-home parks, pest controllers, coin and stamp dealers, and paving contractors."

Yuck! Not a get-rich scheme in the lot!

And that, friend, is the point -- and where the Internet comes in.

The Internet is fabulous for wealth-building IF you know how to use it and have the necessary tools. Let's take just one of the examples above: antique restorer. You may never have thought about this as a wealth-building option, but properly using the Internet ensures steady profit and wealth; in fact, gives you the essential tool you need to become a millionaire.

First, you need to identify your market. In this case, restoring high- end antiques is the only sensible way to go. Restoring country furniture may be nice, but it won't produce the necessary profit margins for the creation of real profit and wealth.

Now you've got to get the necessary tools to ally the Internet to your other means of business- and wealth-building. These tools include

* your own domain. No one building wealth using the Internet is going to succeed without their own domain, "land" they can use to post and disseminate vital information about their business. Without a domain, Internet success is impossible.

* at least one listserver. A listserver is absolutely essential in building an online business. It enables you to send unlimited non-spam email, including product/service information, sales, specials, information on your availability for work, etc. The antiques restorer might have two such listservers, one for his trade customers and one for the general public.

* A sales manager. People are going to send you messages, requests for information, etc., but not necessarily respond immediately when you've contacted them. That's where this tool comes in; it enables you to send out up to 25 automated, personalized follow-up messages within a 90 day period.

* a relationship with a reputable, experienced website design company. You're going to need help designing your website and redesigning it along the way. A relationship with savvy professionals who specialize in web design is vital.

Now Start Making Money

This is how you use the Internet to become a millionaire.

First, post the most important information about your business, including everything that a prospect or customer needs to know about you. Your website MUST be complete, thorough, easy-to-read, easy-to-navigate AND designed with eye-catching, professional simplicity.

Then start growing your listserver subscription list. If you're going to communicate with antiques dealers who need items restored so that they can raise their prices before offering them to the public, start collecting their email addresses at once. This list is absolutely vital for your success -- and it's worth literally its weight in gold. Size is not the key criterion here -- pinpoint accuracy, getting to the right people IS!

Now start communicating with your list at once. Create a newsletter... send special offers... sales... premium notices. Again, say you're that antiques restorer. Use your listserver to notify your customers when you have availability for work. Now instead of working the phones or just waiting for business to walk through the door, you can send an email saying, "We can take on two new projects in the next week..." You can also include a customer questionnaire so that people on your email list can tell you what they want, when they want it and their budgets. It costs you scarcely anything to send out this information and returns very valuable business information that leads to more sales faster.

Millionaires To Be Use The Tools They Need To Create The Wealth They Want

Becoming a millionaire isn't so hard when you

* offer products/services of value * identify your target market * have the necessary tools you need to communicate with them * systematically contact your prospects with great offers and information,
* keep investing a portion of everything you make to develop financial independence.

Towards this end, the Internet is absolutely vital. Stanley and Danko originally wrote "The Millionaire Next Door" before the 'net was popular, and I doubt you can even find the word "Internet" in their book. However, one thing is clear: the Internet offers the tools and the cost economies necessary to generate more sales for the people smart enough to use it -- the people who are going to be the next "millionaires next door." I know. You see, I'm one of the people who has already used the Internet to become a millionaire! And I'm definitely the kind of guy you'll find described in "The Millionaire Next Door"!
