The Mission of Great Wealth: In Giving Something Back to the Community
Have you ever wondered why the rich get richer, and the poor
become even poorer? Robert T. Kiyosaki, a fourth generation
Japanese-American, had been thinking of the same thing since he
was young. His real dad was highly educated and intelligent. He
had a Ph.D., went to Ivy League schools, and became head of
education in the state of Hawaii. Yet Kiyosaki saw how his dad
struggled to pay the bills.
Kiyosakiís best friend, on the other hand, had a dad who did not
go past eight grade. Yet he became one of the richest men in
Hawaii, and left tens of millions of dollars to his family, the
church, and his favorite charities. Kiyosaki calls him his ìrich
dad.î
How does a man become rich? Clearly, it is not earning all those
college and postgraduate degrees. In Kiyosakiís best-selling
book Rich Dad poor Dad, he shares the practical lessons he
learned from his two dads on achieving wealth.
But what most people do not know is that being affluent is not
everything. This means that the wealth of a person does not stop
on the verge of overflowing financial advantages.
Most people believe on the premise that wealthy people is not
constrained on its wealth. They should feel the need to
disseminate the knowledge they know on how to earn more money.
It is something important that they could give back to their
community.
What the affluent should be doing is to teach those who are not
aware of the real means to success. In this way, they try to
impart the basic information on how to do the right thing when
it comes to spending money wisely, on how to manage finances
effectively, and on how to incorporate the power of charity.
The problem with most people, who are deviated from the moral
principles based on what the society has instilled in them, is
that they neglect to do charity work in exchange of the
blessings that they have obtained.
They have the tendency to take the concept of generosity for
granted and set aside the essence of sharing in a corner.
The problem with todayís technological development, which is an
upshot of being wealthy, is that knowledge is often centered to
those who can only afford them. In turn, the concept of
knowledge becomes a commodity itself.
Just imagine this, in todayís modern world, there are more
affluence than ever before, and yet many people are still
struggling to break away from the bondage of poverty and
deprivation. There are still countless people who continue to
strive harder for their survival.
What people do not know is that they lack the knowledge on how
to manage their finances wisely. They lack the wisdom to know
how to bring forth the right attitude and scheme in generating
the best means in order to track their cash flow.
Moreover, there are so many people who continue to fall short on
their finances and be buried deep in debt is due to the fact
that they do not know what to do.
That is why, it is extremely important for a person to share his
or her wealth, not necessarily in terms of financial capacity
but more on the alternative ways on how to give something back
to the community.
The key point is that whatever is given to you, you need to give
it back, not necessarily on the same manner as you have received
it but as long as somebody will profit from it, then, it is the
best thing that you could ever do with your wealth.
Wealthy people should not only share their knowledge as far as
financial matters are concerned but they should also learn to
use their blessings to help create social value.
Indeed, the law and the government had been right all along in
incorporating and instilling to the minds of the people that
ignorance of the law is not an excuse. It goes the same way to
people who are having some problem with their finances. Not
knowing what to do with your money and how to generate a hefty
amount of earnings should not be an excuse.
It should be the motivating factor to seek the knowledge that
most affluent people are knowledgeable with.
So, the answer to the question about the mission of great wealth
now lies on the fact that if wealthy people know what to do with
regards to money matters, those who are financially burdened
should strive to learn more.
Boiled down, being wealthy is not necessarily based on material
things. It also entails the concept of sharing bounded with
moral principles, knowing that man is a rational being, having
the intellect and the will to choose what is right, and the
wisdom to know that the right thing to do with their money is to
come up with methods that would help people learn how to manage
their finances wisely.
